 Just a few notes about today’s 77-65 victory over the UCLA Bruins which I attended with my dad

• We shot 22 more free throws ~ the Cougs were 24/33 from the line while UCLA was 9/11 ~ UCLA had 24 fouls while Wazzu had 13 ~ home cookin’ on the Palouse? The refs were probably scared ~ there were some intense farmers in the crowd ~ there was like a hat rack for pitchforks in the lobby. 

• The only Cougs who made more than 3 field goals were Jaylen Wells and Myles Rice (7/16 and 8/15 respectively and respectfully).

• Both teams had just 6 bench points and there were only 14 assists and 15 turnovers total in the game. 

• The Cougs outrebounded UCLA 39-24 including 16-6 in offensive boards. 

• Rueben Chinyelu was the only Coug starter to play less than 31 minutes (he played 18). Also the Cougs only played 39 bench minutes. 

• UCLA led 58-55 with 7 and a half minutes left in the game…then the Cougs blew them out ~ Coffee is for closers…and Cougs ☕️🐾🏀
