πŸŽ™️Arne Pod transcript 6/19/24

“Yes, yes, okay, sir. Bring this home to your wife, sir, okay? Yes, my friend.

Very good. That's about half my customer. Just kidding, dude.

That's just a couple of dudes. All right, Dave Valle, Ketcher, Reidy, Batten through, 6-2, 200, October 30th, 1960, Bayside, New York. He's older than my parents.

What an old guy. Second rounder, 1978, June amateur draft, Holy Cross High School, Flushing, New York. Yaas, September 7th, 1984, debuted at 23, 14,960th player, did not record an at bat in his final game, 0 for 1.

September 29th, 1996, 35. First game versus the Royals, second game versus the Angels. Yaas, war number 41, 5, 10, 23, and 18.

Speaking of war, career war, 10.0. Pretty solid for old Valle, who is a broadcaster for Root Sports, for the Mariners, 2,775 at bats, 658 hits, 77 homers. Only 237 batting average, but still impressed by that war, double digits.

13 seasons, 970 games, 3,147 played appearances, 314 runs, 121 doubles, 12 triples, 350 RBI, say, more RBI than runs, 5 stolen bases, 7 caught stealing. The old classic, caught stealing more than he stole. Would not be a good criminal, criminal minds, criminal bases[…]”
