A Totally Honest Review of Anger Management

Good misdirection in the plot of this one - an enjoyable romp from 2003 - the best era of movies! I love a NYC movie based in the early to mid aughts - those were the glory days. Fever Pitch is another great one from this era - kinda reminded me of this one but Fever Pitch is a classic - this was solid Sandler stuff but not his best. Enjoyed his chemistry with Jackkkkkkkkkk but not my favorite Sandler - very fun and some good escapades though and I would definitely recommend. It’s always a good time when I get to watch a Sandler movie with my mother - our favorite past time - good stuff - more baseball in movies would be good - baseball is always noice when it’s at least tangentially involved in the plot. This was the golden age of Sandler movies (or at least the first one - his Netflix resurgence definitely counts as another golden age - a Sandler-ssaince of sorts). The lesson, as always - Adam Sandler is the best and an American treasure and his movies are top notch family fun and entertainment - Sandler!

What’s Weird #3

What’s weird is that today there was like a real blizzard and I’m typing this right now while on the clock - our store stayed open today and there is literally no one here right now - slow day - oh and we are still open for 2+ more hours - gonna be an easy evening of work. Fun stuff haha snow is amazing - Mother Nature took a big ol’ dump on us today! Crazy stuff - go Cougs!🐾Oh and def check out Arne Pod my daily podcast

What’s Weird #2

 Archie McPhee

It’s a wacky, weird store in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle - another shoutout to my home city! I got a pair of neon green socks 🧦 with aardvarks on them when I went there back in the Summer of 2018 when I mowed lawns in Seattle. I love fun socks - I’m a fun socks guy.

What’s Weird #1

Noice - here’s what I just came up with for my new daily blog segment - it’s easy but also, once again, lends me versatility as the blogger (versatility seems to be a key word today) - I can make it one sentence or a whole paragraph - it can be about anything and everything.

For the first What’s Weird segment, I’ll give a shout-out to my hometown (well, I hail from the suburb of Bothell but my home city by proximity) Seattle and the Pike Place Market gum wall - it’s 15 feet high and 50 feet long and covered in chewed gum, as the name suggests - and Portland thinks it’s the weird Northwest city!

Ramblings

Winter can be cold! Just chillin under a warm blanket by the roaring fireplace - so cozy. Went for a walk earlier - the sun felt good but my fingers got freezing after a while. Figured I should toss up a blog post cuz I neglect this thing so much - I am all about Arne Pod these days! Been doing an Arne Pod episode every day since July - just did my 600th episode today with my ol buddy Bret Hogg.

So make sure you check out Arne Pod if you haven’t yet and if you enjoy listening to podcasts while you work or go for a walk or do chores or really anything - that’s the great thing about podcasts - the versatility they lend to the listener.

That will be one of my resolutions for this new year of 2024 - to do more blog posts here! It’s kinda funny - I don’t know why I don’t just do it every day - takes less effort than doing the pod and I can just do it anywhere, anytime - the blog lends me a lot of versatility as the poster of it! Doin the NBA posts last year took a lot of effort - I’ll try to come up with a daily staple that is just super easy and quick haha (maybe just a version of Ramblings - I’ll brainstorm and come up with something corky and quick and more creative and fun weird). Til then, I’ll be watching a couple NBA games under this cozy blanket by the lovely fireplace - we got Sixers at Kings and Blazers at T-wolves - Pelicans at Nuggets later - the one great thing about the freezing cold weather is not being in it and just nuzzling up and being super cozy inside. 😎
