Tim Lincecum.

He hit left, threw right, 511, 170, June 15, 1984, Del Ville Waugh. The Cubs drafted him, 48th round, 03, June, which was draft, at Liberty Hospital in Renton. And then the 42nd round, by the Indians in the 05 draft, out at UW, let's go Cougs though.

And then by the Giants, 1st round, 10th overall, 06, June amateur draft, out at UW. May 6th, 07, debuted, 22, 19,078th player, and 4.1 innings pitched, 5 hits, 5 strikeouts, 5 walks, 5 earned runs, 1st the Phillies, in that debut, August 5th, 2016, 1st the Mariners final game, 3 and a third, 9 hits, 1 strikeout, 2 walks, 6 earned runs, got the loss. That was 32 years old, Timothy Leroy Lincecum, Beverly Hills Sports Council, the freak, or big time Timmy, big time Timmy Jim for some reason, 2 times Cy Young winner, 4 time All-Star, 3 time World Series chomp, War No.

55, 19.5 wars, speaking of wars, 110 in 89, the win and loss, 3.74 the ERA, 10 seasons, and 553 win loss percent, 278 games pitched, 270 started, and only finished 3 games, so that means games[…]”

“Dakota, all right, back in Eastern Washington. Salvador Perez, just named to his ninth All-Star team, catcher and first base. Bat right, throw right, 6'3, 255.

Linebacker out there, Mike Linebacker, KC Royals, May 10th, 1990, just turned 34. Valencia, Venezuela, August 10th, 2011, debuted at just 21, 20,000, 34th player in MLB history, one for three versus the Rays, one for the Ruby in that debut. 2015 World Series champ and World Series MVP.

Did not even remember that. Five-time Gold Glover, four-time Silver Slugger, and Salvi or El Nino, the nicknames. Wears number 13, speaking of war, 1.7 this season, 34.7 on the career, which is pretty dang good.

He is signed through 2025. He will be a free agent in 2026. Four years, 82 million, 2026 team option.

Beverly Hills Sports Council, the agent. Me and my dad just listened to Jerry McGuire, the rewatchables. We listened to a ton of Bill Simmons on our road trip.

Good times. 321 at-bats this season. 88 hits.

14 homers. That's pretty good. Batting 274, which is good nowadays.

I think the MOB average is 260 or so, I believe. So that's pretty good. 5,611 at[…]”

“here we go, baby. Let's go. Bryan Reynolds, first time All-Star, outfielder, switch hitter, right hand thrower for the Pirates, January 27th, 1995, 29, out of Baltimore, Maryland, second round pick, 2016 June Amateur Draft, out of Vanderbilt, Vandy.

Shout out Nate Barghetti. Saw him back in Portland Helium Comedy Club, back when I used to go to the comedy shows a lot more. The Who's Lines Anyway show was fun a week and a half ago.

Yeah, I haven't been to a standup show in a while, dude. It's fun stuff though. April 20th, speaking of comedy, 420, 2019, debuted, 24 years old, 21,856 player versus the Giants, one for two, he wins.

He is signed eight years, 106.75 million, because money is all that matters, you know. Young men out there listening. I feel like that might be a large chunk of my audience.

If you're a sensitive, suburban young boy as I was, naive and whatnot, don't get fooled into thinking anyone, any of these adult men such as I am now a 31 year old man. Nobody cares about anything other than money, obviously. Money and sex, you know.

So yeah, there you go. So[…]”

 “Uncle Steve?

Well, I'm stuck in a traffic jam on I-26. I missed my, my wife always turns on the GPS for this very reason. I should have taken exit 40, and I'm crawling to exit 37.

Where in the world is this?

This is outside of Asheville. I had to go drop off the dog. We had Matt and Kara's dog for 10 days.

So, we always meet halfway between Charlotte and Asheville. So, I'm coming back from dropping off the dog.

Does their dog get along with Toby?

Yeah, they get along really well. They're basically like brothers because they spend a lot of time together. Whenever we travel, they keep our dog vice versa.

So, they see each other a fair amount. Very nice.

Is it a lot more work, is it more work having the two dogs than the one?

He's pretty mellow. He lays on the couch and sleeps a lot. So, he's not so bad.

I think it's worse for Matt when Toby's there. He's a little bit more of a bundle of energy.

What kind of dog is Matt?

He is a hound, a coon hound. He weighs 90 pounds. He's strong[…]”

“All right, all right, all right. Here we go. Watching Guardians at Tiger, bottom four, zero, zero.

Here we are, it's Marcel Ozuna, Bobby Witt Jr., Pete Alonso, Alec Bohm and Gunnar Henderson. Oh, an amazing catch. Oh my goodness, I have to rewind this.

In the center field for the Guardians. Wait, here it is. Oh, okay.

Oh, he kind of dramaticized it. He kind of jumped into the wall after he caught it. That was a nice catch.

So keep an eye out for that one. Number one for the Guardians. Wait, now I have to see who...

Oh, wait, I'll see the... All right, I'll just... I'll have to look.

Let's see here. Martinez, Guardians, Martinez.

Is it Angel Martinez? Ha ha, it's an exciting way to start the podcast. Dude, speaking of baseball, yes, he wears number one.

22-year-old of the Dominican Republic, rookie, just debuted. Angel Martinez, he has 16 at-bats and six hits. It's a good start to the career.

Already.5, his career war already. He's played six games. Dude, this guy's crushing it.

He has two doubles, four runs, eight walks. He has a.583 on base percent to[…]”

πŸ””New Podcast Name - Baseball Mostly🎧

It’s the fourth name of my podcast - the first back in 2019 was A Star Is Born, then Chris Arneson Show, then Arne Pod, and now it’s gonna be Baseball Mostly.

I decided to call my podcast Baseball Mostly because I primarily discuss the sport of baseball - each episode I delve into the Baseball Reference page of a specific Major League Baseball - their career stats, some advanced stats but also the classic counting stats like H, HR, RBI, R, and 2B to name a few of my favorites.

I have probably already done a couple hundred baseball HOF or Not? discussions so this is nothing new - I am just doing a little rebranding of my podcast - hoping to get it in front of more baseball fans and in their ears since that is what I talk about in almost every episode anymore (despite the occasional guest like today when I talked to Uncle Steve for our fifth one-on-one chat on the pod (and first in just over a year.))

Just a lil refresher ~ this is where you can find Baseball Mostly (on all podcast platforms) - it’s the same feed, I just changed the name from Arne Pod to Baseball Mostly to try to establish it in the baseball podcast community - rock on baseball fans (especially those of you who love podcasts)! 🀘 ⚾️ 🏟️ πŸŽ™️

“Okay, let's do the spring training wrap-up, all right? All right, let's start with the, let's see here. We'll start with our stadium rankings.

I just got back. Last night, it was 11 at night. It was a long drive.

It's a longer drive than you expect from Phoenix. I was leaving from the west side of town, though, so that was perfect, because you have to go through Phoenix traffic. Phoenix traffic is much more intense and heavier than you expect.

Phoenix, I would say, the most similar big city to Los Angeles that I have been to, in many different ways. Let's see. Let's start stadium rankings.

So I put my favorite one, Goodyear. That's the Reds. They played the Mariners, so that was cool.

They had free parking, so I'll make note of which ones had free parking. So that's a big bonus. So Goodyear was very awesome.

It was out in the exurbs, as they call them, kind of like the suburbs, but farther out, just in the middle of nowhere. Just a lot of open space. Goodyear Stadium reminded me, also the Indians play there.

A lot of them are, there's 15 teams, so[…]”

“yass, ha ha ha. All right, if you ever think people are good people in general, I dare you to work as a cashier and then think the same thing. You know, think people are nice and respectful, and that they think that, no dude, people are bad.

Ha ha ha, that's why this type of job just absolutely gives you a reminder that most people are just like completely, you know, I mean, I was gonna say self-centered, but I'm pretty self-centered too, but it shines in how you interact with a cashier or two though, but it's kind of like a mirror too. So I'm kind of like just a mirror to every person who comes in and everything is money. Yeah, I was raised in a capitalist society, unaware of money.

Ha ha ha, I was very novice with money my entire life, coming from a cushy background and being sheltered and spoiled and middle child syndrome. Give me some attention, all that stuff. Ha ha ha, anyway, now here I am serving a bunch of morons.

And yeah, and also Spokane is very like old school, like dude, it's so stealthy in my car[…]”
